We live in  a world where stress is a normality, where aggression is usual and where anything that does not conform to the usual way of looking, behaving or acting as an individual so often marks a person out for adverse attention.

The amount of antagonism that has to be faced can be tragic and the amount of pressure there is to consume and conform to societies 'standards' can lead many to the edge of despair

There is help available for those in these situations

On the right there are links to websites for those who are victim's of abuse, sexual or physical, debt, hunger, addiction of any kind whatsoever or considering any kind of self harm whatsoever.

These links are also for others that are concerned about someone they know who is in the above situation and want to help them.

Places of Refuge

For those needing a place of refuge and safety, such as those experiencing abuse, coming through addiction or those experiencing a crisis, such as divorce, bereavement, etc, there are places of refuge available and two are listed below.   Spaces are not always available as demand is often high but they will always try to help.
